Notes on KDE, the desktop environment

This cheatsheet is a small collection of handy snippets for quick reference in tricky situations. Feel free to suggest edits, propose additions, complain about something, disagree with content or such and the like. Every feedback is a welcome one.

Performance tips

Disable Baloo File Indexer

Navigate to System settings -> Search -> File Search. Untick "Enable file search" to stop Baloo from spending system resources on continuous file indexing. Especially useful if you're low on RAM/memory.
